The 3-Month Intensive Turnaround

Thirteen weeks of hands-on, in-the-business support for owners who can't wait for a monthly rhythm to work. We find the real constraint, fix the commercial model with you, and leave behind a management rhythm that keeps it fixed.

Hard doesn't mean hopeless

Struggling is telling you something. Find out what before you push harder in the same direction.

A struggling business isn't automatically a failed one. It might have the wrong customer, an offer that's too broad, pricing that ignores the real cost of delivery, inconsistent selling, weak cash discipline, or too much reliance on the owner. These are all problems you can look at and fix.

But when cash is tight, the team is stretched and you're the one holding it all together, a monthly meeting can feel too slow. The Intensive Turnaround puts experienced, hands-on help inside the business every week for thirteen weeks, so the important work actually gets done.

This is for you if

  • Cash is tight and you can't see clearly past the next few weeks
  • Turnover is up but margin, or your own pay, isn't
  • The business has grown past the way it's run, and everything still comes back to you
  • The team is busy but not strong, and morale is slipping
  • You've tried to fix it alone and you're tired of fixing it alone

I can't remove the elbows, but I can help you see them coming.

How the thirteen weeks run

Stabilise. Rebuild. Embed.

Built on the seven-step Thrive Mode Framework from Business Has Elbows, compressed into three focused months.

  1. Weeks 1–4

    Stabilise & see clearly

Immersion in the business. A thirteen-week cash forecast that shows your lowest cash point before it arrives. The full Business Reality Check across all nine domains. Honest conversations with your team and, where it helps, your customers, who are often more candid with an outsider. The destination reset: what the business must give you in twelve months, in numbers. By the end of week four, the one constraint is named and agreed.

  2. Weeks 5–8

    Fix the commercial model

The changes that move profit. True cost to win, deliver and support each sale. Pricing and margin rebuilt, including a realistic wage for you. An offer customers can understand and choose. A repeatable route to sales, with follow-up and tracking. Roles defined and decisions handed to the people who should be making them. Where Adrian can pick off a task and do it, he will.

  3. Weeks 9–13

    Embed the rhythm

A short weekly and monthly scorecard, not a pile of reports nobody reads. A management rhythm that runs without Adrian in the room. The few processes that matter most to quality, cash and the customer, written down and in use. A final board-style review of what changed, and a 12-month plan you own, with the option to carry the rhythm forward in The Boardroom.

What you walk away with

Changes made, not just recommended.

A thirteen-week cash forecast

Rolling, conservative, and including the costs owners tend to forget: their own wage, tax, insurance, debtors and equipment replacement.

A full nine-domain Business Reality Check

Demand, pricing, cash, sales, operations, people, systems, risk and owner outcomes, scored on evidence.

Pricing and margin, rebuilt

A structured look at margin and pricing most owners have never had, and new prices in the market.

A sales route you can measure

From first enquiry to paying customer, with sources, conversion and reasons won or lost tracked.

Clear roles and real delegation

Each role defined, responsibilities handed over, and the team trusted to make decisions that improve outcomes.

A scorecard and management rhythm

Weekly and monthly reviews where every action has an owner and a date, so the progress holds after week thirteen.

Fortnightly progress reports

What's changed, what's next and what's at risk, written plainly. You don't need to take notes.

A 12-month plan you own

Three priorities, not thirty, with owners and dates, built around the outcome you want from the business.

Proof it works

The founder who checked everything.

A brilliant owner, a brain like a computer, and a team that followed rules without ever improving anything, because he checked every task after hours and corrected any deviation from his way.

The first step was getting the founder to step back. Then each role was defined, responsibilities handed over, and the team empowered to make decisions that improved outcomes. Morale and productivity both lifted, the team embraced new technology, and they started improving the business themselves.

Growing people is even more rewarding than growing a business, but interestingly, one tends to lead to the other.

The property managerA fixed-price offer landlords loved, but one that needed twice the people and twice the time for less return. We put numbers around the work and broke it into bundles at different price points. Same service, same relationships, a model that made it viable.
The IT companyA brilliant technician who couldn't sell. We built a marketing system to bring prospects to him, fixed service packages, talking points and a firm pricing guide. His conversion rate grew, and so did his confidence.
The fast-growing cleaning businessSales outpacing cash, with every new contract funded for six weeks. The answer was a funding facility that grew in proportion to sales.
In a client's words

“We have transformed our entire business model.”

I run a social media marketing company and reached out to Adrian because I wanted an experienced set of eyes to take a hard look at the business, help refine our services and put stronger procedures and foundations in place.

Adrian helped us cut through the noise and identify where our real strengths were, where the opportunities were, and how we could deliver even greater value to our clients using the resources we already had.

We have transformed our entire business model. Job satisfaction is through the roof, clients are happy, and margins are up. How good!

Questions

About the Turnaround.

Why is it by application?

Because a turnaround only works when the business can be turned around, and the owner is ready to make changes. We start with a free Clarity Session to make sure the Turnaround is the right fit. If a lighter level of support would do the job, we'll tell you.

How is the fee set?

It's a fixed fee, agreed upfront, based on the size and complexity of the business. No hourly billing and no surprises. The Effective Perspective Guarantee still applies: if you feel you've overpaid for what we've delivered, don't pay us.

What if cash is already critical?

Then the first weeks are about stabilising: current figures, collecting debtors, protecting essential delivery, early conversations with your accountant and creditors, and stopping non-essential commitments. Strategy comes once the business can breathe.

What happens after week thirteen?

You'll have a scorecard, a management rhythm and a 12-month plan. Many owners choose to keep the rhythm going in The Boardroom. Others are ready to run it themselves. Either is a good outcome.

Will you work with my accountant?

Yes. Effective Perspective provides business guidance, not legal, tax or accounting advice. Where a decision needs a qualified professional, we'll work alongside them.

Change the trajectory

Thirteen weeks from now, the business could feel very different.
